Better than the first Snakepit album in my opinion. An underrated album for sure. Some good hard rockers on this one. Shine, Back to the moment, Serial killer, Landslide, Just like anything, Mean bone, and Been there lately all kick ass. If you're a GN'R, Velvet Revolver, or Slash fan in general, this one's a must have. Kick ass line-up too/5().

The second Slash's Snakepit album, Ain't Life Grand, reigns in the blues-rock jamming of It's Five O'Clock Somewhere in favor of a more song-oriented approach. New vocalist Rod Jackson is a combination of '80s pop-metal bluster and Faces -era Rod Stewart, which -- with more than a touch of Aerosmith added -- is actually a pretty accurate way to describe the band as well.6/
